Books that I Checked Out For My Spring Break

Hello, my friends, I will tell you about what books I picked out from my school's library. By the way, my school name is( Kathy caraway elementary). I checked out 4 books. The books name are...... drumroll, please!!!!

• Dork Diaries 12: tales from not so secret crush catastrophe, 

• Owl diaries Eva and baby mo 10, 

• The 500 hats of Bartholomew cubbies by dr. seuss, 

• Little blue &little yellow by  Leo Lionni. 

  

These are my spring break books but I am focused on DORK 

DIARIES!!!!. The characters in this book are Brandon, Nikki, Brianna, Chloe, Josh, Zoey, Keisha, Tiffany, MacKenzie, Angie, Andrea, mom. 

Some of the parts are so funny like bad news!!!!!!!!! is the worst case of crush it is I ever have seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And some of the parts are soo gross!!1!!!!!! I will never ever eat out of the garbage eww☹️. I will never ever drink as gross as toilet water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!☹️☹️ 

I won Trophy....Oratorical Competition

Few days before, when I got off the bus, I went to my house. Then my mom said, "There will be an Oratorical Competition ". I said, No !! if its a competition of a speech!!!. Then my mom asked "Why you don't want to learn a speech? I whispered, "it is a competition and I don't want to lose". Then my mom answered, it is not a competition. After then I told that Ok I will do that. I practice it in any free minutes. After two days, I had it all revised and perfectly memorized. And finally, 2/26/2019 was the competition. 

I got ready to go to school. I was so nervous. First I sat with my family. Then at 6.30, I went to another cafeteria. When I went in, I formed a queue. I had to wait because my turn was after KG and 1st Grade. So when they called me. It was my turn so I was excited. Then I told my speech. 

When all the kids were done with their speech. Then the prize was distributed. For the 2nd position, my name was taken. I felt so surprised and also shocked !!!!. Then I went back to my parent and they were proud. After then I received my trophy. My mom and dad were clicking photos with the Judges, Principle and Teacher. They told that " She did an amazing job.". Then I returned back home with my trophy. I was so much happy !!!!!.

My School Trip To Peace Park

On 15th February I went to Peace Park. That day in the morning, when I was getting ready to go to school, I couldn't wait for the field trip at that time. I was about to wear my cloth, suddenly my mom said "Don't forget to brush your teeth.

As I reached school I couldn't wait for the trip so I checked the agenda right away. When I got on the bus, I was so excited. My mind was singing " field trip, field trip I am going to field trip.....here I come woohoo!!

When I reached there I sat on a table which was built with rocks. We had some rotation to do, but first I learned some facts about fossils. My teacher (Mrs Alden) told us about fossils.

• Some fossils can be rare as if we find a bone of a dinosaur.
• Some fossils can be imprinted.
• Some fossils can turn out a big fossil.

Then she gave us a paper full of fossils picture. Then we went to our second rotation. We searched for fossils. I got three fossils. Those were not rare. Those are the horn of an animal. Then we went to eat lunch. I have juice, Indian food and water. 

After having lunch we got some time to play. After some time we returned back to school. I was tired. So I took a half an hour nap with Keerthy.....Z..Z..ZZZZZZ!!!!

Always Be Positive

We should always be positive and think positively. Because if we think negative, we can,t do anything. And if we think positive, we can do whatever we want.

Example of Positivity and negativity :

Thinking Negative ----- IT IS TO HARD...I can't do that...no way. I can't solve this math problem.

Thinking Positive ------ I have to give it a try....oh ya!!. I can do it, I can do it. Yes!!!!

In the above example, positive thinking is better. Always keep the remote of our mind in our hand. Because we can guide our mind and control it. If we don't have the remote of our mind, it can go like this ---- "no, it is too hard, it is, even more, harder", but if we have a positive mind we can achieve the hardest thing.

My Visit To Chase Bank..

One day, I went to the Chase Bank with my mom. When I went inside the bank, there were few people in the queue. Then I saw a Big Bowl of Lollipops!!.

I thought "should I tell my mom? hmmm......I thought  Yes. I said that there is a big bowl of lollipops. Then it was our turn to talk. She said to come after 10 minutes. After 10 minutes we came back and went inside a room. There was also a Big Bowl of Candy!! 

I asked mom and took 6 of those. When I went outside I took 6 lollipops. I was so much happy!!! eeeeek. I liked the Chase Bank so much. 

A few days later my mom asked: "do you want to go Chase Bank?" I said yeeessssss!!!!!!!

I love that place.

Facts About Snakes

This is my school project to do researching on snakes appearaence, diet, life cycle and types of snakes. So I researched on Google and YouTube. I found out many fun facts about snake's. 

Fact 1 - Snakes are reptile with no legs and a long body.

Fact 2. Snakes are vertebrates meaning they have spine.

Fact 3. Like other reptiles, snakes are covered in scales.

Fact 4. Snakes dont have eyelids.

Fact 5. Snakes jaws are flexible.

Fact 6. Snake's skin is smooth and dry.

Fact 7. Snake do not have external ears. There skin, muscles and bones carry sound vibration to their ear.

Fact 8. Snakes are not polite at meal time.

Fact 9. They don't chew their food. They swallow it whole.

Fact 10. Their jaws and body are so elastic that they cn eat animal much faster than themself.

Facts 11. Most snakes live off insects, rodents, birds, eggs, fish, frogs, lizards and small mammals. All snakes swallow their food whole 

Respect Others Feelings

We should respect other's feelings. It does not matter whether a person is younger or older. Respect is a skill that we can make friends around us. 

We should respect non-living things also. Because some of them help us sometimes. 




Example: Pencil - It helps us to write things.
Notebook - It helps to remember things.
Glass - It helps us to drink water.

Just think, we don't have anything and its raining. We will get wet and will get sick. So our house is protecting us from every season. So we should respect our house even though it is a non-living thing. So don't be mean on things and people. We should be respectful to our environment, community and the whole world.

Good Bye Dear 2018 !!!

For me, 2018 started when I came from India to McAllen, Texas, USA. I was very sleepy so I slept as fast as I could. After one week I have to take a test for the admission in school. After taking the test she will give me a grade. 1st grade was my grade to study in. After 3 months I got certificates for different things. I felt woohoo!!!!!!

In the last month of my school, I have a diary for my teacher to write something about me. She wrote about me. When she was done I went to give it to another teacher to write about me. She gave the biggest Marshmallow I ever have seen. She also wrote about me and then gave it to me.

In the month of August, we shifted to Austin from McAllen. Then in Austin, I took admission to go to school. Its name is Caraway Elementary. I am enjoying here. So thank you so much 2018 to give me a chance to have new friends, people, place and language.

Our Solar System

The solar system is made up of planets that go around the sun. There are eight planets in the solar system. Those are:- Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Stars: On a clear night, we can see many stars in the sky. Stars are big balls of fire. They are very very very far from us. The sun is the closest star to earth. Stars have their own light. Now I will discuss all the planets. 

1. Mercury:- It is the closest planet to the sun. It is hot in the day and cold at night.
2. Venus:- It is the hottest planet in the solar system.
3. Earth:- Planet that we all live and has one moon. It is also called the Blue Planet.
4. Mars:- It is also called the Red Planet. Here the mountains are red and big.
5. Jupiter:- It is the biggest and runs the fastest. It has three moons.
6. Saturn:- Its ring is made up of dust.
7. Uranus:- It is the Gas Giant planet.
8. Neptune:- It is the coldest planet.
9. Pluto:- Scientist thought Pluto can be a planet but they said it's too small to be a planet. So its called a Dwarf planet.

Never do Cyber Bully

A cyberbully can be on phone, iPad and also on the laptop. It can make you very angry, sad or upset. Example:- You opened your phone or email and someone gave you a mean message, and you get upset, that is called cyberbullying. Like I am studying on a phone and someone gave a bad text then I got sad and upset. 

Some times it's easy for someone to forget that every people have feelings. They may play a harmless joke. If you are angry then take a few minutes to come down. Never fight back to a cyber bully. So we should never do cyber bully and we should respect others and have a kind heart.

Never Give Up......

I thought, why we should not give up? My teacher said, "If we give up, we can't do anything in our life". And don't say 'Let's give it a try'. If you will do that, again and again, it will become your habit. 

Example, a girl wants to become a doctor. First step is hard and she gave up. Can she become a doctor? Can she...???

So you should never give up. Never give up to achieve your dream. Always keep trying. And say positive thoughts.
